Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging period, achieving just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents his maiden title since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court from March of that year.
Victory also means he has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a title is particularly special," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his first professional title, took control to force a third set.
Moutet defended 4 early chances in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned victory with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
